Is crude oil blood of the earth that keeps our planet cool?

Does any one know if oil protects the earth in any way?Is crude oil blood of the earth that keeps our planet cool?
Who knows? While it is true that oil is produced by the decomposition of carbon based life forms, the question was not ';what is oil made of?';, The question was, basically, ';What purpose does oil serve while it is in it's natural environment? While oil's function may not equate with the function of ';Blood';, it is painfully obvious that the more we take out of the earth, the more dysfunctional earth becomes. Is crude oil blood of the earth that keeps our planet cool?
There are two answers to this question. The first is the scientific one which is no. Oil is the end product of the anoxic decomposition of micro organisms, trapped in porous sediment that has been heated and compressed over time. The second answer is if you are from the bible belt and is Yes. Oil is the evil squeezed out of all the demons by God and his angels during the war between heaven and hell. It was put to good use by God to cool the earth down and stop use burning our feet as we walk around.
Oil is decayed flora and micro organizms and to my knowledge does not protect the earth. Sap is the 'blood' of trees and trees help to cool the earth to a small extent. Primarily the ozone layer protects and cools the earth.
No. Oil is a millions of years old reserve of long dead organisms. And we're running out.

It doesn't cool the Earth. Whoever led you to this frankly bizarre way of thinking is clearly a moron.
Nope crude oil is the remnants of huge tropical forests, its carbon based and has settled in vast underground deposits, where you got that cooling thing from is totally wrong!
No it's dead dinosaurs.
