What does a transmission oil cooler do?

It's a transmission fluid cooler. It sends the fluid from an automatic transmission to a small radiator located right in front of the engine coolant radiator. A tranny cooling system is normally installed on vehicles with automatic transmissions designed to tow trailers.What does a transmission oil cooler do?
It cools the transmission fluid thus cooling the transmission which extends it's life especially when towing.What does a transmission oil cooler do?
