Transmission fluid and water mixed through oil cooler?

i have recently changed my whole transmission assembly and my mechanic told me that my oil was mixed with water from the oil cooler thus damaging my tyranny. what would be the color of the oil mixed with water? and could it really damaged the tyranny? can my tyranny be repaired or already a scrap? is it too expensive to just repair the old tyranny? Transmission fluid and water mixed through oil cooler?
Transmission fluid has an emulsifiers to give it some tolerance to water. They do mix in an unusual way.


The transmission cooler on your car can be capped off and an after market unit added up by the radiator.


So I would put on an after market transmission cooler, and have the fluid changed in the transmission (along with the filter). Then drive it for a while. This may get you further down the road for less money.Transmission fluid and water mixed through oil cooler?
First of all,


You need to find out what exactly happened to the radiator. How


much fluid got into the transmission and how long you drove it


with the coolant in the transmission for. If you trust your mechanic


or transmission shop here, it does sound like the transmission is


shot because of this coolant leak. You obviously must replace that


radiator so there's a start. Your mechanic should be able to give you


much more detail on what happened here.

how the water end on your trans? because the radiator was broken and the oil cooler was integrated to the radiator both fluids get mixed





you have to change the radiator also when you decide to repair your trans or get a new one





or like the guy above put an external oil cooler to prevent the new trans get water again
If it were me, I would have it drained and flushed and add some new T Fluid, start there, if it still slips, have it rebuilt.
