I dropped the engine(easy job) removed the ';Dog house'; stock oil cooler and replaced the cooler with an adapter plate and the much larger oil cooler I mounted on the rear side of the bus with a protective cover..but with room left between the cooler and side of the Bus....and then used quality hydraulic hose to connect the cooler to the adapter plate.Want to add extra oil cooler for 1600 vw air-cooled engine. ports?
