I have a 1995 S-10 blazer 4X4. It had a leak from the oil cooler adapter, so a bought a gasket set. The set came with a O-ring and gasket. After i replaced the gasket and O-ring and started the car for 15 min it started pouring oil out of the oil cooler adapter. So, what am i missing? or is there supposed to be another gasket on the adapter? Some one please help!!!!Need Help with oil cooler adapter!!!!?
If you put everything back together like you took it apart AND it's leaking from the connection fitting, then I see two possibilities: you crushed the gasket or the o-ring when reinstalling the line (take it back apart and look at it), or you damaged the line or the cooler when you took it apart or when you were putting it back together (bent or broke the lines or cooler).
Oh, well I guess there's a third possibility: Did you match the new gasket and o-ring to the old one to make sure they were the right ones? And is it the connection fittings that are leaking and not the actual cooler or line?
