Will it remove ticks if i burn vegetable oil let it cool then poor it on my dog?

I was told burning vegetable oil letting it cool then pouring it on my dogs. Will remove ticks would that work is that true? And another thing is garlic is that good or bad? for the dog. Will it remove ticks if i burn vegetable oil let it cool then poor it on my dog?
I purchased a tick remover from my local dog grooming store when my dog picked up a tick. All you do is put it around the tick, twist it and pull the tick off. easy peasy. They only cost a few dollars and they are a handy tool to have about the house for when your dog picks up a tick in the future.

How many ticks do your dogs have? If they have a large number it might be worth a vet trip to make sure they are ok. In Australia we have a paralysis tick that can easily kill a dog if left on for too long.

Garlic isnt bad for dogs- it is thought to help control fleas- but it doesnt mean that you shouldnt use proper flea treatments! Will it remove ticks if i burn vegetable oil let it cool then poor it on my dog?
WTF??? No, that won't work, and you'll likely burn the dog while you're at it unless you let the oil cool to room temperature (at which point what was the purpose of heating the oil??).

No,and even if it did, more ticks will get on the dog as soon as it goes outside, and the smelly, oily dogs will then attract flies, which will lay eggs on the dog, which will turn into maggots, which will kill the dogs!! Get some Frontline Plus or Advantix! You only have two dogs!
Get medication from the vet and it will take care of all the ticks.
