our grandparents used to put warm olive oil in our ears to sooth the presure from a head cold. I am not sure this is bad for you but I can tell you the doctors were using warm water and peroxide mix to clean out the ears of junk built up. much of the ear drops doctors perscribe is an oil based product so I would venture its not an issue as long as its warm not hot. by the way some countrys used warm urine as a treatment for ear aches, true !My grandma advises to put heated oil in ears after cooling it.Is it advisable to do so?
Yes, Its fine. The method is as follows. Heat the mustard oil with two or three pieces of garlic in it boil them when they are golden brown in color put the fire off. Cool the mustard oil. When it is luke warm or you can pour it on your outer hand skin, pour two to four drops in one ear and keep lying in that position for about 5 to 10 mins. and repeat it with the other ear. After that if you like to use the ear bud you can (ofcourse with caution) or just clean it with soft cotton cloth. It's good for ears.
When you do a first aid course they will tell you never to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear. Which means, you don't go putting anything in your ear as it may damage your hearing.
Justbecause Grandma said so, doesn't mean she is right.
for a ear ache yes you can use sweet oil which you can get at store really its just a seal kind of to keep air out which anything wil do it and yes being a old man ive used it a many times on my kids listen to grandma she old and wise
it is advisable by ancestors bt our doc's say dat we shud nevr try to clean our ear with nethn even with ear buds...it eventually damages the ear drum
they say the wax keeps the ear clean from all the other pollutants...so dnt clean it off.....mreovr wax always goes when u take bath without u knwn it...
yeah it's true. After pouring it to ear make sure you keep oil for 2-4 hrs all the wax in you ear easily comes out. use ear bid to get wax removed. Also if you have problem with ear, it ll be overcome.
